| I took a nice little holiday break these past few weeks, but I am happy to start the new year off fresh! Now is the time to look through my closet and "reset" my wardrobe for the year. How do I want to look? I find myself going for the classics: Black blazers, patterned button-ups and some boyfriends. I hope you all have a wonderful New Year! | I apologize for the lack of posts! I am sure you know how this time of the year gets with the holidays and things you try to fit in before the end of the year! While I am trying to keep my shopping to gifts for my friends and family, I am still keeping an eye out for those key pieces to add to my closet. I LOVE the velvet trend right now and have been hawking some cute velvet tanks to wear under my blazers or over a white crew neck t-shirt. Here are a few of my current finds: |

| It's FINALLY cold outside, which means it's a freezing 55 - 60 degrees here in San Diego. But you know what? I will take it! It's all about layering when the weather fluctuates. I love pairing a little sweater or jersey knit with a long coat. You can dress it up with a structured coat, or dress it down with a more soft sweater type coat. | I don't know about all of you I am completely exhausted from the shopping, food and festivities that took place last week! Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday...And let's face it, cyber week, really makes today and the rest of the days leading up to Christmas feel like a breeze! I know we are getting into cooler weather, but I find some of the best sales on dresses this time of the year. Is it just me or is it when you don't need a dress you find a ton to buy, but when you need one it is impossible?! My recommendation, stocking up now with all the great sales. While we don't get much cold weather here in San Diego, it does get a little "chilly" in the evenings. Instead of buying a huge coat that I will wear once, I love having a good wrap or scarf to throw around me. Lately, I have been hawking some pieces that I can wear on my dog walks or take with me when I travel. Here are a few that make great gifts and it wouldn't hurt to pick on up for yourself! | Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I mean, a holiday dedicated to family and food? How much better does it get? I am always planning months ahead of time and have a few rules: it must be cute (seasonal), comfortable (to fit my food coma inside) and effortless. With all the cooking and running around, you want to have something you feel good in, but can be comfortable it. When I saw this dress at Anthropologie, I knew it would fit the bill! On a more personal note, I plan on eating and spending time with my family this year. I LOVE to cook, so will whip up some of my favorites (Hello Mashed sweet potatoes with goat cheese!). xxoo - Jac |

I tried to resist, but as a child of the 90's, I couldn't hold back from some of the cute trends that are resurfacing ... I especially love the choker trend right now. It can dress up a t-shirt, but is casual enough to wear every day.
