Hunter green for the holidays

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I mean, a holiday dedicated to family and food? How much better does it get?

I am always planning months ahead of time and have a few rules: it must be cute (seasonal), comfortable (to fit my food coma inside) and effortless. With all the cooking and running around, you want to have something you feel good in, but can be comfortable it. When I saw this dress at Anthropologie, I knew it would fit the bill! 

On a more personal note, I plan on eating and spending time with my family this year. I LOVE to cook, so will whip up some of my favorites (Hello Mashed sweet potatoes with goat cheese!).

Bells

Fall could not come sooner! I am craving that cooler weather so I can break out my fall essentials. Living in San Diego can be hard for this because it generally doesn't get cooler until later November...

I am diggin’ the bell sleeve trend that seems to be sticking around. It has a soft feminine look, with a casual bohemian vibe. I picked up this top at Anthropogie the other day, which was perfect to add to my fall wardrobe. The beaded detail gives it an extra little something :)

Keeping it classic

Do you ever feel like you are constantly going through a style change? Every season, I find myself shifting gears from east breezy summer wear to professional, 70’s inspired blouses in the fall. Constantly changing your style and evolving your wardrobe is what makes it fun – but I can’t help but feel like I am constantly trying to identify my exact style.

Through all the changes in seasons, trends and styles I always come back to the basics that will NEVER go out of style: jeans and a white t-shirt. This style will always be true to who you are and not only looks good, but is the most comfortable outfit out there (besides my workout clothes).

Pairing jeans and a t-shirt with the current scarf trend is a nice touch to glam up a simple, yet classic style.

Beach Days

I can't wait for summer. While we don't get much of a winter here in San Diego, I crave those warm days when you can just throw on some shorts and head to the beach. As I mentioned in my post LACE IT UP, I am diggin' the lace up trend and hawked this top as soon as I could! It doubles as a dress, which is perfect for those beach days that transition into happy hour in the afternoon.
