The sun is out and I am scooping up as many Spring dresses as I can get my hands on. I find that when you don't need a dress for a special occasion, you find tons. But when it comes to finding something for an event, you can never find anything!

With warmer weather around the corner, my go-to is an easy lightweight dress that I can wear to the beach or to brunch with my girlfriends and not look too overdressed. This beautiful peach dress from Paper Crown fit both those requirements.

New twist on LBD

I don't know about all of you I am completely exhausted from the shopping, food and festivities that took place last week! Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday...And let's face it, cyber week, really makes today and the rest of the days leading up to Christmas feel like a breeze!

I know we are getting into cooler weather, but I find some of the best sales on dresses this time of the year. Is it just me or is it when you don't need a dress you find a ton to buy, but when you need one it is impossible?! My recommendation, stocking up now with all the great sales. 

I hawked this dress from Cynthia Rowley on sale and can't wait to wear it more :)

Hunter green for the holidays

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I mean, a holiday dedicated to family and food? How much better does it get?

I am always planning months ahead of time and have a few rules: it must be cute (seasonal), comfortable (to fit my food coma inside) and effortless. With all the cooking and running around, you want to have something you feel good in, but can be comfortable it. When I saw this dress at Anthropologie, I knew it would fit the bill! 

On a more personal note, I plan on eating and spending time with my family this year. I LOVE to cook, so will whip up some of my favorites (Hello Mashed sweet potatoes with goat cheese!).

The Kimono

It's always summer somewhere! I have been hawking the perfect kimono wrap dress for quite some time and absolutely fell in love with Rue Stiic's Kimono Wrap Dress. It is romantic, flowy, beachy and you could probably sleep in it. It is the perfect thing to wear in the summer or in my case, transition into fall.

LBD

There are some things you just can't mess with. The little black dress (LBD) is definitely one of those things... This is a classic staple that will never go out of style. Dress it up or down, it will polish your look in two seconds! 

I am not one to spice it up, but this LBD from Flynn Skye has just the right amount of sexy and casual mix.
