The sun is out and I am scooping up as many Spring dresses as I can get my hands on. I find that when you don't need a dress for a special occasion, you find tons. But when it comes to finding something for an event, you can never find anything!

With warmer weather around the corner, my go-to is an easy lightweight dress that I can wear to the beach or to brunch with my girlfriends and not look too overdressed. This beautiful peach dress from Paper Crown fit both those requirements.

Mwah!

I love the latest embroider trend going on right now. It takes the simplest denim, top or jacket and makes it into something unique and special. Madewell has some great pre-embroidered tops and this "Mwah" piece is one of my favorites. You know I am all about that casual style, so this top was a no brainer when deciding to add to my closet.

Birthday Suit

As I mentioned in my Lace it up post, I am diggin’ the 70’s trends that are coming out. One of these trends that I jumped on was the jumpsuit! This one piece can be dressed up or down and is so comfortable, I have thought about sleeping in it.

This weekend I will be at the spa celebrating my birthday and plan on wearing this all day and night to celebrate. As I ring in another year, I am really looking forward to what it has in store for me and plan on looking the part!

Spring Swing

The weather could not have been more gorgeous this past weekend. I was finally able to break out my little summer dresses and tanks. Spring is turning out to feel more like summer and I am trying to add easy to wear one-pieces to my closet that I can dress up or down to wear from day-to-night.

Welcome to Style Hawking!

What is Hawking? I use this (made-up) word when I am coveting that perfect article of clothing that is sold out, too expensive or something I just have to have in my closet. I will “hunt” this item down for weeks, something months, to see if it comes back in stock or goes on sale.

I decided to create this blog as a way to express myself through fashion, but also to share these finds with all of you. Each week, I will share my “hawks” and post some outfit inspiration along the way!
