Pink Ruffles

I am back! I want to apologize for the long break in my posts! I took some much needed time off and tried to give myself a nice break from the blog (although still posted on Instagram), so that I could hit the refresh button and really focus on what I want to share with all of you. 

I started this blog to show you all my "hawks" or finds and felt like I needed to revisit that intention. So stay tuned and keep an eye out for some fresh new posts that will include everything from my beauty routine (skin and makeup) to styling tips and tricks. I think it's important to learn how to style your other clothes that are sitting in your closet and pair with the new pieces that you find.

To bring it back to today's post... You know I LOVE a good t-shirt. When I saw this one from Current/Elliott, I couldn't resist and ended up buying it in two colors and a dress version. I am a huge believer that if you find something you love, you should buy it in every color. I am not much of a pink girl, but the darker shade screamed spring and goes perfectly with some light denim jeans or a cute floral pencil skirt for all you office girls.

Summer Time

There is nothing I love more than those warm summer nights when can just throw on some shorts and a tank  on and head out for the night. I tend to keep things more on the casual side this time of the year, but find ways to dress it up with some cute shoes or a different type of top.

Round Two | Lace it up

Happy Tuesday! I apologize for the inconsistent posts lately, things have been crazy, but I am back on track! 

You probably remember this dress from THIS post. I loved it so much I got the lighter color! It is the perfect little dress (with pockets!) for wondering around town this summer with some flats or classic vans

Laid Back Style

Guys, I was not kidding about the denim obsession...It's real. Like I said in my last post, if you find something that you like and that makes you feel good, keep doing it.

Light and dark denim is a great way to break it up if you are not ready for the monochrome denim look. I loved pairing this H&M denim jacket with my dark JBRAND flares. It's got that 70's tomboy vibe, but still feels girly and sexy at the same time.

Summer is here; well after the June gloom is over, summer will be here, so I am already working on my outfit for the Fourth of July. It tends to still be a little cool here in San Diego (sometimes!), so this is the perfect fireworks rooftop outfit.

Denim on repeat

I always say, if you find something you like, that makes you feel good, keep doing it. I use this philosophy with my clothing just as much as i would with eating right and working out. When I find something I love or a look that seem true to me, I will buy every color of that shirt and wear it on repeat.

I believe that you need to LOVE what you wear and feel comfortable and confident, because that is the soul behind your style. My fashion "soul" is denim. I gravitate towards it and wear as much of it as possible. Do I have too many denim shirts, probably... But I love them all and promise they all get a good wear often :)
