Snappy Casual

Back in my college days, “snappy casual” was our attire word for all our sorority meetings and events. However, I still find myself using this word for those times when you want to be casual, yet still have a little "snap" or polished look to your outfit.

Living in Southern California, you definitely feel the desire for a laid back, casual outfit, but when you work 9 - 5 in a corporate office or when you want to dress up a little when going out with the girls, you need that "snap" to just kick it up a notch.

Madewell is always my go-to for this type of look (And let’s face it, every other look). Pairing a classic t-shirt or tank with a silk skirt is effortless and always looks good. I recently wore this outfit while out in Chicago with the girls and never felt over or under dressed!

So keep it snappy, keep it casual and let the good times roll.

Easy Breezy

It's been such a busy couple of weeks! As you may have seen on Instagram, I just got back from Palm Springs and was more than happy to escape this May Grey we are having in San Diego. Throwing on a dress and not even considering having to put on a little sweater made me crave those warm summer nights. 
When it's warm out, I love pairing flowy boho tops with ripped jeans or jean shorts. It screams summer and is so easy to throw on and relax.

Boyfriends & Blazers

Friday is finally here! It is one of my favorite days of the week. For those of you who don’t know me, I work a 9 – 5 job outside of this “passion project” (i.e. my blog). So having the weekend to run around, put outfits together and go on a long bike ride (yes, I am one of those crazy cyclists you yell at on the weekends) – is something I look forward to every week!

I think that is why I crave that casual and comfortable style. I like things to be effortless and still be cute/put together. Boyfriend jeans and a blazer are the perfect way to accomplish the “put together” look without even trying!

Beach Days

I can't wait for summer. While we don't get much of a winter here in San Diego, I crave those warm days when you can just throw on some shorts and head to the beach. As I mentioned in my post LACE IT UP, I am diggin' the lace up trend and hawked this top as soon as I could! It doubles as a dress, which is perfect for those beach days that transition into happy hour in the afternoon.
